Creative Design, Innovative Technology – Taiwan’s LED Lighting Products Shine at the 2012 Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition


(June 10, 2012 – Taipei) Taiwan’s Green Trade Project Office announced today it has established the ‘Taiwan Innovative LED Lighting Pavilion’ at the 2012 Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, held on June 9-12, to showcase a variety of award-winning and innovative LED lighting products offered by 16 Taiwanese LED manufacturers.

Li-Yen Ma, Division Chief of the Integrated Marketing Division at the Green Trade Project Office, said, ‘Taiwan has been the largest LED component manufacturer in the world. For the industry, the key growth driver in the future will be lighting application. Over the past few years, more and more LED component manufacturers are seen to start expanding their business into the end-user sector. With the establishment of the “Taiwan Innovative LED Lighting Pavilion”, it is hoped that buyers and visitors around the world would be able to experience Taiwan’s quality LED lighting products first-hand.’

The ‘Taiwan Innovative LED Lighting Pavilion’ comprises 46 products offered by 16 Taiwanese LED companies, presenting Taiwan’s strength and capability in lighting product design and technology innovation. Exhibits include products which had won major international design awards, such as the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Product Design Award and the International Design Excellence Award. QisDesign has claimed several Red Dot Design Awards in three consecutive years with the ‘Piano’ and ‘Coral Reef’ series. The ‘Nature-Dimmable T-Tech HV LED Light Bulb’ offered by Justenergy Technology was the winner of both Red Dot Design Award and iF Product Design Award. Darfon Lighting had won the 2012 Red Dot Design Award, and Chicony Power Technology the 2012 iF Product Design Award, with the ‘FAGGIO LED Floor Lamp’ and ‘7W Omni-Directional Bulb’, respectively. The artistic light box from Rong Jih Enterprise was honored with the 2012 German Design Award, 2010 iF Material Award and 2010 Red Dot Design Award.

Other products which have been recognized by the Taiwan Excellence Award and TILS Innovative Product Award for the outstanding design and technology advancements include the ‘LED Bulb’ and ‘High Bay Light’ from Delta Electronics, the ‘SL-Dolphin Street Light (Low Color Temperature)’ from Everlight Electronics, the ‘High Efficiency LED Bulb’ from Top Energy Saving System, the ‘Traveler LED Lamp’ from Crosscarf, and the ‘S01 Glory Series LED Streetlight’ from ThermoKing Technology International Co..

Innovative applications of LED lights are also on display. The ‘Symbol’ wall lamp offered by Just Power Integrated Technology Inc. works as a flashlight as well. The ‘SAFEEGG’ from Yi Jin Photonik would automatically light up and generate warning sound when earthquake happens (system preset at degree 4). ‘LED Block Light’ of Ukin Technology features great flexibility of usage. ‘Residual Light Bulb’ from Converter Technology utilizes remaining electricity for lighting. LED bulb from Hg LED ART features flexibility of shape-forming. The ‘All-In-One Lighting Controller’ from Lite Puter Enterprise offers up to 12 scene variations.

The 2012 Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, the largest lighting exhibition in Asia, is scheduled to be held on June 9-12. The ‘Taiwan Innovative LED Lighting Pavilion’ is located at Hall 11.2 / Booth C10. During the exhibition, the Green Trade Project Office has also planned to hold the ‘Innovative Design – Taiwan LED Lighting Product Launch’ conference at AGORA – Area A (Pearl Promenade, Area A, Opposite to Hall 4.1) on June 10, starting 14:15. Four leading Taiwanese LED lighting solution designers, Delta Electronics, Everlight Electronics, Justenergy Technology and QisDesign, will present the latest technology innovations and lighting products.
