(November 13, 2012 – Taipei) Taiwan’s Green Trade Project Office announced today it has established the ‘Taiwan Green Electronics Pavilion’ at the biennial Electronica trade show in Munich, to further enhance the global visibility of Taiwan’s green business. The Pavilion (Booth No: A3.566/4) showcases a variety of award-winning energy-saving products offered by 16 companies, demonstrating Taiwanese manufacturers’ continued efforts in promoting a greener lifestyle.
Li-Yen Ma, Division Chief of the Integrated Marketing Division at the Green Trade Project Office, said, ‘Market demand for more energy-efficient products has grown steadily over the years with the implementation of environmental regulations and consumers’ rising awareness. Taiwanese manufacturers have not only continued to offer more energy-saving components and solutions through technology innovation, but also started to expand their business into sectors closer to end-users. The diversity of products exhibited at the “Taiwan Green Electronics Pavilion” indicates Taiwan companies’ strong capability in offering quality green products.‘
The ‘Taiwan Green Electronics Pavilion’ comprises 38 products offered by 16 Taiwanese companies.
LED Lighting Products
The ‘Asteria Series – MR16’ of Aeon Lighting Technology Inc., which has won the renowned Red Dot Design Award, iF Product Design Award and Japan’s Good Design Award (G-Mark) for its elegant outline, uses high-density aluminum material to increase heat dissipation, and saves up to 90% energy when compared to standard halogen lamp. The ‘One’ table lamp offered by Just Power Integrated Technology Inc. can work as a flashlight in an emergency. The waterproof ‘WishLamp’ from COCOKASA Lighting Corp. is ideal for indoor and outdoor use, and features over 50 shades of color with auto color change program. The ‘LED Lamp – Angel’ by Home Resource Industrial Co., also a winner of the Red Dot Design Award, can be easily switched on by a simple touch, and offers great mobility. Honored with Taiwan Green Classics Award, the ‘LED A60 Light Bulb’ from Everlight Electronics features a long lifetime of 40,000 hours. The ‘Eco LED Bay Light 145W’ from Ecomaa Lighting Inc. is designed with the activeAir Technology to achieve lower temperature. The ‘High Efficiency LED Bulb’ from Top Energy Saving System, which had won the TILS Innovative Product Award, reduces energy consumption by over 80%.
Components + Parts
Saving 50% energy, the ‘Mighty Mini Fan & Blower’ from Sunonwealth Electric Machine Industry Co., Ltd., honored with the Taiwan Excellence Silver Award, are the world’s smallest and thinnest cooling fans, and can effectively reduce the internal temperature of portable devices by 10⁰C. Other exhibits include the ‘GPI Light Engine’ from Genesis Photonics Inc. (presented in the form of an LED high bay light), the ‘High Efficiency LED/Waterproof Power Supply HLG-240H-24B’ from Mean Well Europe B.V, which had won the Taiwan Excellence Award, and the ‘IEEE 802.11n 150Mbps Wireless AP/Router with Very Low Power Consumption (RTL8196C + RTL8188RE)’, winner of the Taiwan Green Classics Award, from Realtek Semiconductor Corp..
Computer + Systems
The ‘VIA COM Express Modules’ from VIA Technologies feature VIA’s low-power-consumption and high-multimedia-performance processors and chipsets. Products exhibited in the category also include the ‘Green Communication System GCS1500i’ from AAEON Technology, which had won the Taiwan Excellence Award, and the ‘MSI B75A-G43’ motherboard from Micro-Star International, which is built with ‘Energy Saver’ function.
Innovative products with energy-saving feature are also showcased. The ‘Solar School Lamp’ offered by RITEK Corporation transfers free solar energy into electricity to light up the LEDs. The ‘E Ink Pearl ePaper Display’ from E Ink Holdings Inc., winner of the 2011 IET Innovations Award – Electronics, can save 60% energy when compared to an LCD screen.
The 25th Electronica trade show is scheduled to be held on November 13-16 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre, Munich, Germany. The ‘Taiwan Green Electronics Pavilion’ is located at Hall A3, Booth 566/4.
