News: Germany Ushers in Renewable Energy Reform

Germany, the biggest green energy exporter in Europe, unveiled their renewable energy reform on April 8. Under the draft law, the government will cut the number of companies exempted from the surcharge to around 1,600 from Germany’s the 2,000 biggest users of power from renewable energy, in order to ease the pressure of spiraling power prices driven by  the rapid expansion of renewable energy subsidies.
