Climate change is definitely an issue that we can’t ignore anymore. According to news from Reuters, US president Obama addressed climate change as a priority for the rest of his term in office and wanted strong actions on the issue to be part of his legacy. The administration is considering to cut greenhouse gas emissions from power plants by encouraging power saving or expanding renewable energy. Meanwhile, an additional $2 billion would be devoted to energy efficient upgrades to government buildings over the next three years. Those measures will spark the investment of renewable energy sector and at least 50,000 workers could join the industry by 2020.
