The administration to be led by President-elect Tsai Ing-Wen will make efforts to promote the development of Taiwan’s green energy industry, according to Chang Ching-sen, executive director of Tsai’s policy office, Focus Taiwan has reported.
According to the news report, Chang said that the first step will be to integrate research and development resources, which at present are scattered around different places, to establish green energy-focused industrial clusters.He also noted that the new government will make efforts to promote research and development in the areas of marine energy and biomass in addition to solar energy.
